1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HailPDF ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

HailPDF provides free online tools across five categories: PDF, image & media, office document conversion, developer/data utilities, and archive tools. Most tools upload your file to our servers for processing and delete it immediately afterward — we do not retain, store, or share file content beyond what's described in our Privacy Policy. Every tool under Data & Dev Tools and the ZIP Extractor process your input entirely in your browser and never upload anything at all.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Usage Limits

The Service operates under a fair use policy for server-processed tools:

• Anonymous users: 5 downloads per tool per day.
• Free registered users: 10 downloads per tool per day, up to 10MB per file.
• Pro subscribers: 500 downloads per tool per day, up to 100MB per file.

Data & Dev Tools and the ZIP Extractor are not subject to daily limits, since they never involve a server request.

5. Pro Plan and Billing

HailPDF currently offers a Pro plan tier as described on our pricing page. Automated self-service billing is not yet live — if and when it launches, this section will be updated to describe the payment processor used, billing cycle, and refund policy before any charges are collected. Do not rely on this page for current billing terms until it explicitly describes a live payment method.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Process files containing illegal content, malware, or copyrighted material without authorization.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service.
• Use automated tools to scrape or excessively use the Service beyond stated limits.
• Impersonate other users or provide false information.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Data Policy, which explain in detail how server-processed and client-side tools handle your data differently.

8. Intellectual Property

The HailPDF brand, logo, and underlying software are owned by HailPDF. You retain all ownership of files and content you process through the Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that processed files will meet your specific requirements. Some tools (for example, certain office-document conversions) depend on optional server-side software and may be unavailable in some deployments.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HailPDF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
